The Story behind Kemuri BBQ
Welcome to Kemuri BBQ – a culinary venture that's close to my heart, born out of a wild and exciting journey. I'm a young Singaporean guy who's passionate about two things: Texan smoked barbecue and Japanese cuisine.
My journey took me all the way to Austin, Texas, where I trained myself in the outback smokehouse of LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue. I learned the secrets of crafting exceptional smoked dishes, from briskets to beef cheeks. Bringing this expertise back to Singapore, I knew I had a mission to fulfill – to introduce my hometown to the incredible taste of authentic Texan smoked barbecue.
But that's just one part of the story. Singapore's culinary scene is a vibrant blend of cultures, and Japanese food holds a special place here. Inspired by this, I dared to dream bigger. I envisioned a culinary experience that fuses the robustness of Texan barbecue with the refined artistry of Japanese cooking. And that's how Kemuri Tex Jap BBQ was born – a place where smoky barbecue meets the tidy precision of Japanese cuisine.
